Te Ara Whakatere Tairongo and Te Tauranga oCourse Outline 2026
Te Ara Whakatere – Navigating Leadership, is a transformative leadership wānanga designed for aspiring Māori education leaders. Grounded in the ancestral metaphor of voyaging and navigation, the programme equips participants to lead with courage, moral clarity, cultural integrity, and intuitive intelligence in complex educational environments. Te Ara Whakatere is made up of three stand-alone 2-day workshops. Kaiako can participate in all three workshops or attend individual workshops. In this workshop, through the navigation elements of te tairongo and te tauranga, kaiako explore tairongo as leadership intelligence including how they know when something is misaligned and identifying restoration practices.
