Jess is a Treaty Lawyer and a strong advocate within the wider whai kaha community, being involved in Enabling Good Lives Waikato. Tuhoro is a Policy and Strategy Manager at Waikato-Tainui and is passionate about supporting and realising the aspirations of whānau, marae, hapū and iwi. As mātua to a taonga takiwātanga, Jessica and Tuhoro share their lived experience of living with takiwātanga and how whānau and professionals can incorporate more inclusive practices through a te ao Māori lens. Prof. Tracy Riley - Looking Back as We Look AheadTracy is a Professor of Education and Dean of Postgraduate Research at Massey University. She has extensive experience in gifted and talented education, having led postgraduate programs, authored a Ministry of Education handbook, and overseen national research projects. Tracy serves on the Executive Committee of the World Council for Gifted and Talented Education. Outside of work, she enjoys community life at Ōtaki Beach, spending time with whānau and friends, and takes pride in her 8 talented mokopuna.
